Villa Mandi

Ubud is the « capital of wellness » in Bali. However, tourism has banned tranquility and it is hard to find an accommodation offering both a nice swimming pool and calm for a reasonable budget. New hotel (2014), Villa Mandi is located a bit off Ubud, at about 10 minutes by car. The view over the rice paddies is there from breakfast (at the next-door warung) all the way to the swimming pool. A nice swimming pool in the back of the garden that gives the impression of having the world for yourself.
The only reproach that can be made to Villa Mandi is that the shuttles to the center only take place thrice a day (at 10am, 12pm and 4pm) and that only the transfer to Ubud is offered. To get back, you need to pay the same price as a taxi (IDR 50,000). It is not expensive but it would be nice to have shuttles at night as well as the return trip in the package. Finally, the staffs over-friendly and does everything to make your stay as good as possible.
